Tim and Rumi Smith Piano Concert

Sometimes known as the current "first couple of the piano in Alaska," pianists Tim and Rumi Smith's concerts always receive enthusiastic audience acclaim, and are filled with vibrant and virtuosic compositions. This concert includes dramatic classical fare (works by Beethoven, Grieg, Smetana, Liszt, and Gershwin) as well as selections from the modern Japanese popular repertoire.

Dr. Smith will also be performing a solo selection by Franz Liszt on this concert as well as Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” with his piano partner, Rumi. Audiences have been attending Dr. Smith's brilliant piano concerts in Anchorage for many years; he has a recording of Liszt piano works that is currently available on Spotify.
