Event Info
Diane Wilson, an acclaimed author and storyteller, joins us for an unforgettable exploration of seeds, stories, and resilience. Seeds & Stories, explores the cultural and historical importance of our Indigenous seeds and the stories that help create and define the world we live in, beginning with our long oral storytelling tradition. Seeds carry stories of the land and the people who grew them, while our stories are seeds for the future we hope to create.
This powerful presentation explores the Original Agreement, the sacred bond between humans and seeds, and how colonization disrupted this connection. Through compelling storytelling, historical insights, and personal experiences working with Native organizations, Wilson shares how these themes shaped her novel, The Seed Keeper. If you are curious about the deep relationship between people and the land, join us for this thought-provoking and inspiring discussion.
Diane Wilson (Dakota) is a writer and educator, who has published four award-winning books as well as essays in numerous publications.
