A Weekend of Song

The UAA Department of Music presents two concerts featuring the voice faculty and other distinguished singers from the Anchorage community.  The Classical Art Song unites poetry with music in a diversity of languages and styles.  American, British, French, German and Japanese songs by composers such as Ned Rorem, Gerald Finzi, Claude Debussy, Franz Schubert and Yoshinao Nakada will be presented.  Twelve singers come together in a celebration of this stunning yet rarely performed repertoire, in the acoustically sublime UAA Recital Hall.
